Income and wealth distribution: Introduction: This paper focuses on wealth and income id = distribution in the U.S., the first part is an analysis of medium income in the U.S. during the year, and even wealth distribution through the year. The second part is an analysis of medium income by race and states. part: Figure 1: first chart retrieved l shows the historical medium household income in the U.S. between 1968 to 2007. Income inflation-adjusted value and $ 2,007 is used as the base year, the chart shows the medium value of income, and when the medium is a measure of central tendency for data that summarizes the movement of income for the entire population ii U.S..

For the period 1968 to mid 1969 there was an increase in the medium income, however, for the period 1969-1971 in the medium income falls, and from mid 1969 to mid 1970, the economy experienced a recession. For the period from mid 1971 to mid 1974 with medium income rises and reach a peak in mid-1974, begins medium income to decline for the period from mid 1974 to 1976, and there is a recession in the period from mid 1974 to mid-1975th Medium income begins to rise over the period 1976-1979, followed by a decline in the period 1979-1984 and the economy experienced a recession from mid 1979 to 1980 and a second recession in the period 1981 to mid-1982nd

medium income increases over the period 1984-1989 and is followed by a decline in the years 1989 to 1993 during this period a short downturn experienced in the period 1990 to mid-1990th Finally, the chart shows an increase in the medium income for the period 1993-2000, a decrease in the period 2000-2005 and an increase in the period 2005-2007 and the diagram also depicts a recession in the period mid 2000 to mid-2001. diagram therefore shows the medium household income in the U.S. and this measure shows the evolution of income in the economy, is declining in the medium income followed by recession, the chart also shows a decrease in the frequency of recessions, for example in period 1968-1985 the economy experienced five periods of economic decline, while for the period 1985-2007 only two periods of economic recession was experienced. Also chart shows an upward trend in the medium income in the U.S. and it is therefore expected that the medium income earners will continue to rise. Figure 2: The second chart shows the distribution of wealth in the U.S. for the period 1983-2004; chart was taken from, the chart shows the wealth distribution in the U.S., the wealth value stratified into quartiles and this includes the first quartile and second quartile, which accounts for the lower 40% in terms of wealth, the third quartile accounting for nearly 20% in terms of wealth, the quartile representing 20% compared to the wealth and the fifth quartile, representing the 20% in terms of wealth. figure shows that the top 20% compared to the wealth owned 81st 3% of total assets in 1983 and this share has increased over the years and reached the 84th 7% in 2004. the fourth 20%, which is the second in terms of wealth owned 12th 6% of total assets in 1983, and this has decreased over the years and the percentage reached the 11th 3% in 2004. the third 20% owned 5th 2% of wealth in 1983 and this level has declined over the years and reach the third 8% in 2004, finally, that the bottom 40% said they owned the 0th 9% of wealth in 1983, reached -0. 7 in 1989, and this value reached the 0th 2% in 2004, the chart shows that the bottom 40% owned less than 1% of total assets in period and this proportion has declined over the years. figure shows that there is a problem of wealth inequality in the U.S., where 20% own over 80% of the wealth, this proportion increased over the years and is expected to increase in future. The bottom 40% who are the majority own less than 1% of the wealth in the U.S., a trend expected to continue in the future. Part 2: Figure 1: Data were extracted chart shows percentage of people of races and income range as at 2006 from the diagram it is clear that those who earn less than $ 5,000 only the second 1% are white, the third 5% are Latin American and the sixth 6% are black, 14 2% of whites earn more than $ 100,000, 10 5% earn that amount, and only the ninth 1% earn that amount, so it is clear that in terms of earnings majority of whites earn higher incomes than Hispanic and black. Figure 2: Data was retrievedand state median income 2004 -2005 average income by state. The map shows the four largest and bottom four in terms of median income, Mississippi has the lowest average income, while New Jersey has the highest level of median income. This suggests that there are income disparities in countries where some states listed have higher median income, while others have lower median income. Conclusion: From the above analysis it is clear that there is a wealth distribution problem in the U.S., is also clearly the white race has the highest percentage of population compared to other races earn more than $ 100,000, while the black race has the highest percentage of the population compared to other races earning less than $ 5,000. Finally, it is clear that the percentage of wealth owned by those 20% are over 80% and this proportion has risen over the years and is expected to grow in the future.
