Many have a dream about a creative writing career. You can dream about writing the great American novel, or become the next Poe. If you are serious about becoming a writer, there are several things you should do and remember.

Write everyday as much as you can.

Writing is not like riding a bike. If you stop typing and go back to it five years later, you will probably not be nearly as good or even better. If you want to become a great writer, you have to practice all the time. That means daily. This means that setting a specific amount of time to write every day. Stop right now, check your calendar, and right at a time everyday that you will write.

Write creatively, not as a high school essay.

You’ve probably hated writing essays in school. They told you to have an introductory paragraph, body and conclusion. So they said to do the same with each section. Do not use me and sounds really boring. Okay, they might not have said, but generally, most essays sounded very formal. If you enjoyed writing unique, creative essays, you are on track. I’m not saying to forget everything you’ve learned about writing, I just say that creative writing is much less formal. You want to engage your writer and keep them interested. Do not let the dull monotony kill your story!

Edit your work again and again.

I have met some people write it was just terrible. It was a good story, and may have had potential, but it was very poorly written and seemed as if they wrote it once and never looked at it again. If you write a piece that you are serious about, especially if you want to publish it, make sure that it is perfect. Print it up, if possible, and read it a couple days after you wrote it. Analyze it and make sure it is perfect. Then a second that you trust through it so well.

Do not give up!

For me writing has always been my dream. I write constantly, and I’ve always wanted to become a successful writer. People are always telling me that I am a great writer. If you want to succeed, you can not give up. Just keep writing and try to accomplish what you want to achieve. If you want to publish a novel, do whatever you can to do it.

Write your novel and editing it until you feel it is perfect. Have a few trusted friends read it and give you a little constructive criticism. Send some query letters to agents and do everything you can to get it published. If you get some bad reactions, and you like the new will not work to decide whether you like it really is good enough to publish and self publish it, if not, proceed to the next novel.

Do not stop doing what you love. If you really want to succeed, give up is the worst way to do it. Keep writing and editing, writing and editing, and you just can accomplish your dreams!

Writing an essay can be frustrating and difficult. But if planned properly and chosen wisely, your essay stand out from the crowd because of its quality and richness of content.

The first thing your essay should have an introductory paragraph. This paragraph must be able to show exactly what your essay is about only a few sentences. A great opening paragraph of an essay will show the reader what they will read about and capture their interest immediately. This piece is also known as a thesis statement.

The next part of your essay is the fundamental premise. These special pieces make up the formation and the body of your written essay, and should be able to connect the various points you make. A good tip is to make a simple list of the points you make in your essay. You can then develop your essay from this list by creating a supportive piece for each point made.

The last part of your essay to the summary. This summary is everything you’ve just written about in a few sentences. It differs from the introductory paragraph that tells you what you want to read the summary paragraph tells the reader what they already have read.

You may already have your topic assigned to you for your job or you may have to choose yourself. If you choose, it is very important to be able to write fluently and confidently about your topic. Do not choose a topic you know nothing about or not very confident. Then brainstorm a few ideas and pick your topic of your essay.

Then draw a sketch or a diagram of your topic and ideas you have for your specific essay. This structures your ideas and your essay by giving it a clear and defined path to follow. If you feel that the structure you have prepared does not work, do not be afraid to tweak it here and there to make it work for you and your subject.

Write your thesis statement / opening paragraph and tell readers what you as a writer would be to display them throughout your essay. What will they learn from it and the point you’re trying to do in your essay.

Then you can write your supporting paragraphs which represent your points list you earlier. Create a section for each item and show your results clearly and with solid facts and possibly quotations or interviews.

Write the conclusion at the end, not during or at the beginning. Many people make the mistake to write the conclusion before they have finished and read through the final draft of the essay. Do not do this as you might have written something else or become aware of other facts and figures later in the essay writing process.

Once you’ve done all this, you can proceed to proof what you have written. If you have the ability to do so, leaving essay night or a couple days and back to it with fresh eyes. This makes it easier to spot any typos, grammatical or other errors you might have done. If you can, so let someone else go through it and prove it to you.
