Where’s Sierra?

Posted by: Sierra Dafoe  :  Category: All the latest

Right here!

Or, well, that’s where I’ve been for most of the past month, anyway, barring a few quick trips home for car emergencies (gad I hate car emergencies)

Islesboro is a lovely little island off the coast of Maine, just south of Belfast. My husband and I got married out here at his grandfather’s camp, which is where I’ve been staying (thanks, Grumpy!) It was a beautiful ceremony and a gorgeous Labor Day weekend — unlike this past month. Anybody want some snow?? :p

I finally got a cheapy little digital camera so I could share pictures with y’all. Here’s one of Lionel. I can’t believe he just turned 15 last month! Or maybe I can — he’s starting to get a little gray around the muzzle.

Which means I’ve had him almost precisely twice as long as my husband. What that means exactly, I’m not sure — maybe just that most dogs are easier to get along with than most men? LOL!

And finally, for all you folks who have the sense to live someplace warm like, oh, Georgia, here’s a shot of our lovely little snowstorm last Monday. Eech! Is spring ever gonna come?

I hope you’re staying warm and well — I seem to be catching every cold going around this winter, which is no fun at all. The plan is to head back home sometime early next week, get my much-neglected website back up to date, and make some time to catch up on the loops! It’s been a lovely quiet month, but I miss you guys!

The Bond That Ties Us - In Print!

Posted by: Christine d'Abo  :  Category: News - Christine d'Abo

It’s out! It’s out!!!

My very first print book is available today from Ellora’s Cave. The Bond That Ties Us introduces us to the Eurus colony, and the ongoing war between the Briel and Ecada. When Haylie and Kamran meet, it’s a  bit more than love at first sight. The physical bond between them is so powerful, neither are able to resist them.

When I first wrote this story, I had no idea the impact it would have on me as a person, or the fact it would launch my writing career. I started it with the intent of writing a book that I would enjoy reading. I’m so thankful other people have also enjoyed it.

You can buy it directly from Ellora’s Cave Here!

It takes a lot to ruffle Taite Gibson, investigator with the Pima County Attorney’s Office. But the enormous, snarling werewolf that’s stalking her through the streets of Tucson? Yeah, that oughta do it. Those terrifying attacks convince Taite to seek out Ryder Merrick, a reclusive British horror writer reputed to know everything about werewolves, including how to kill them. Turns out he also knows how to leave her shaking with desire…

On his remote private island, Ryder can live safely with the beast inside him, unable to harm others or himself. Then Taite arrives, her lush, sweet scent and gorgeous curves tempting him to give in to every wicked hunger. And as a full moon rises, the only way to keep Taite safe from the evil that’s followed her here is to convince her to trust in an attraction that’s deeply dangerous, and wilder than she ever guessed….

Coffee, Cats, and Book Reviews

Posted by: Christine d'Abo  :  Category: News - Christine d'Abo

Well I had a fun start to my day. More snow landed in my area, and I wasn’t quite ready for it. I had an early morning meeting, and ended up being late because things were so bad in my subdivision. I then dropped my entire mug of coffee on the ground once I got to the office. That means I’m forced to drink crap coffee out of the machine *blech*.

My day started to look up when I finally got to my email and discovered that The Bond That Consumes Us received a five heart rating from The Romance Studio!

Wow! I picked this one up and couldn’t put it down. Taber is a tortured soul, and I had a lot of sympathy for him when I found out what had happened to him earlier in his life. The way it was put together in the story explained a lot of his actions so that it made sense and really enhanced it. Fallon was a great character; she’s strong, sexy and knows how to go after what she wants, which is this powerful, dominant man. The sex in the story is passionate and hot, and in context. The secondary characters were great; they didn’t take over the story but I was left wondering what’s going to happen to at least one of them… Sean. I thought this was a fantastic story, full of rich characters and fast paced enough to keep me reading until the story was done. Don’t miss it!

Thank you so much Julia!! I’m working hard on Sean’s story now, and hope to have it done around the end of December.

My friend then sent me the little short below. I laughed my ass off! I have a cat, and she so does this. Normally when I’m trying to write on my computer LOL!
